Ffion Hier is an amateur show jumper from South Wales who's hard work is paying off with multiple wins at the Aintree Show Jumping Championships two years in a row. We have seen Ffion grow over the last few years and love her online content showing her love for her horses, its well worth a follow

Tell us a bit about your horses?

Pippa (NLS DIVA SOPHIA COOL) & Rennie (RENKUM RENDITION)

Do you compete with your horses?

Yes, BS showjumping primarily, but I have been know to do the occasional dressage test (when necessary) and even had a go eventing.

What's your proudest moment with your horse(s)

Growing great bonds with them and earning their trust. Winning 85cm National Championships for two consecutive years on NLS Diva Sophia Cool and Oakford Maisie May owned by Kimberlee Buckley 2023&2024 and coming first in the bronze league for Wales two consecutive years 2021&2022 where brilliant highlights.

What do you enjoy the most about owning and riding horses?

The adrenaline, freedom and time spend bonding and earning their trust

Who is your Equestrian Hero? And why?

John Whittaker, all he’s accomplished and I hope I’m still competing at his age 😂

What's your equestrian goal for 2025?

To get my new horse Renkum Rendition out competing hopefully up to 1m10 consistently and to continue doing well with NLS Diva Sophia Cool and Oakford Maisie May who is owned by Kimberlee Buckley the aim is for them both to have another National Champion status for 2025.

An item of Jewellery of my old mare Callie. Who means everything to me- I sold her late last year so that she can continue to do what she loves- our bond was inseparable
